There is no one figure for Clackmannanshire, because no two rooms come with the same list of work. Start with how much floor you have, then ask whether the bath and toilet stay where they sit or move, since new pipe runs take time. Swapping the bath for a shower area, hanging the basin on the wall with storage beneath it and running panels instead of tiles gives back floor space and cuts the cleaning to a wipe. Where the family still wants a bath, a shorter and deeper one often frees enough room.
In most houses, yes. Older properties in Alloa and along the Hillfoots often keep a hot water cylinder fed by a tank in the loft, and gravity gives a weak shower on the upper floor. The flow is tested at the design visit, and from that the designer recommends a pump, a pressurised cylinder or a shower made for low pressure. Homes running on a combi boiler are usually fine as they stand.
For a bathroom inside the house, almost never. Dollar's older streets around the burn and the academy, and parts of Alloa near the Tower, sit in conservation areas, and changing a bathroom behind your own front door is not usually caught by that. It is different if the building is listed, or if a new vent or waste pipe would appear on a wall facing the road. Where we can see that coming, we say so at the survey so it can be checked with Clackmannanshire Council first.
