What people in Ayr ask before they book, from cost and timing to sea air, bungalow layouts and the run up the A77 to our showroom.
Questions are answered by a designer at our Kilmarnock showroom, not a call handler reading a script. Ring any day between 10am and 5pm.
Call 0800 029 3875Yes, all of it. We fit across KA6, KA7 and KA8: Alloway, Doonfoot, Seafield, Belmont, Castlehill, Forehill, Holmston, Kincaidston, the town centre, Newton-on-Ayr, Whitletts, Dalmilling and Heathfield. Prestwick, Monkton, Coylton, Annbank, Mossblown and Dalrymple are covered as well. The home design visit is free, with no call-out fee.
Kilmarnock. It is a straight run up the A77 to Block 5, Unit 1, Glencairn Industrial Estate, Kilmarnock, KA1 4AZ, where you will find free parking and fully built bathroom displays. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday. If you would rather not make the trip, a designer will come to your home in Ayr with samples instead.
Work back from the room, not from a number you have read somewhere. The bigger the floor, the more tiling, flooring and fitting time it takes, and a room where the bath, basin and toilet all move needs new pipework under it. A tidy bathroom in Kincaidston or Forehill and a large main bathroom in Seafield or Alloway with a statement walk-in shower sit a long way apart for that reason. Your suite, brassware and wall finishes decide the rest, and anything the old floor is hiding can nudge it. Our designer will come out, plan the room with you and price it at no cost and with no obligation, and finance runs from £22 a week, subject to status.
Allow 3 to 6 days for most bathrooms in Ayr. You are told what will happen on each day before we start, and the fitters follow that plan. If yours is a one-bathroom household, say so at the design visit so the work can be arranged with that in mind.
It can. Homes near the Esplanade, Seafield and Doonfoot get salt in the air, which is hard on cheaply plated fittings. We suggest solid brass-bodied taps and shower valves with a good chrome or brushed finish, wall panels in place of grout where you want easy cleaning, and an extractor fan that reacts to humidity. The designer will show you suitable options.
Yes. Bungalows in Doonfoot and Alloway often have a compact bathroom with the bath along one wall. Taking the bath out and running a walk-in shower the length of that wall gives far more room to move, and a level-access tray, a seat and rails can be added now or later. The designer also checks your water pressure, because an older bungalow with a tank in the loft may need a pump to give a strong shower.
Yes. The Victorian villas along Racecourse Road and around Seafield have tall ceilings, plaster cornicing and timber floors. Floors and hallways are covered before work starts, cornices and architraves are left untouched, and ageing pipework can be renewed while the boards are up. Freestanding baths and traditional brassware look at home in these rooms.
Most streets in Ayr give us room for a van, but parking near the town centre and the seafront can be restricted, so we ask about it at the design visit. We agree where the van unloads and how the old suite leaves the house. Rubbish is taken away by us, not left at your kerb.
Yes. We offer Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later, flexible credit up to 24 months, and longer-term flexible credit up to 10 years. The initial eligibility check is a soft search with no impact on your credit score, and gives an instant decision. Ultimate Home Solutions is authorised by the FCA as a credit broker (not a lender). A new bathroom is available from £22 a week, subject to status. Various deposit options are available.
From the plumbing and electrics to the sealing and panels, all workmanship is guaranteed. Should anything need looking at once the job is done, the Kilmarnock team arranges a visit to your home in Ayr.
From Alloway and Doonfoot in KA7 to Whitletts and Heathfield in KA8, and out to the KA6 villages, a designer will come to you free of charge. Prestwick and Monkton next door are covered in the same way.
Live somewhere else in KA6, KA7 or KA8? You are covered too. Message us your postcode and we will set up a free home visit in Ayr.
