“On time, easy to deal with, no problems.”
Good quality, got what we asked for, good workmanship, easy to deal with company, easily contactable, delivered on time, no problems.

Ultimate Home Solutions designs, supplies and fits new bathrooms across Cupar and north-east Fife, beginning with a free visit to the house and ending with all workmanship guaranteed. We fit in the stone flats and houses off the Bonnygate and the Crossgate, the post-war semis and bungalows on the South Road side, the newer estates at the edge of the burgh, and the cottages and farmhouses out through Ceres, Dairsie and the Howe. A designer measures the room alongside you, and the fitting itself takes 3 to 6 days.
Four starting points. Which one suits depends on whether you are in a burgh flat, a stone house or a bungalow out by Ladybank.

Frameless screens and large porcelain boards, which is how a narrow bathroom in a Bonnygate flat gains a bit of room.

The things people raise between the Bonnygate and the landward villages: listed buildings, sloping floors, farm water supplies, how long the room is out of action and what it costs to get us out.
Ring and a bathroom designer answers, not a switchboard. Most calls are back with you inside the hour, weekends as well.
Call 0800 029 3875We do come out, and it costs nothing. Cupar, Cupar Muir, Springfield, Ceres, Pitscottie, Dairsie, Letham, Ladybank and Falkland are all on our normal round, and the Howe of Fife villages beyond them go with it. A designer calls at the house, takes the measurements, brings the sample cases and leaves a quote with you. Nothing is charged for the journey and nothing for the appointment.
It depends on the room, which is why nobody should put a figure on it over the phone. A bathroom in a South Road bungalow that keeps the bath, basin and toilet where they already sit is at the lower end of what we fit. A wide room in a stone house off the Crossgate, where the bath goes out, a walk-in shower comes in and the waste has to be rerouted, is a good deal higher. The wall finish counts too, since porcelain and wall panelling are not priced alike. A designer measures the room and prices what you actually want, free and with no obligation. Finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status, and various deposit options are available.
Usually not. Cupar town centre is a conservation area and a fair number of buildings along the Bonnygate and the Crossgate are listed, but those controls are mostly about what the street can see, and a bathroom refit is internal work. Consent can come into it where an interior is listed, or where an extractor or soil vent has to break out through a front elevation. Fife Council's planning service will tell you in one phone call, and we hand over whatever product detail an application needs.
Three to six days on nearly every Cupar job, counted from the morning the old suite leaves the house. A like-for-like swap in one of the newer houses at the edge of the burgh finishes at the short end. Lifting an old timber floor, moving the soil pipe or running new wiring for an electric shower takes it nearer six. You are given the order of work day by day beforehand, and where the house has a second toilet it stays connected throughout.
It changes what gets specified, not whether we can do it. Boreholes and spring supplies around the Howe of Fife tend to run softer and at a lower pressure than mains water, and a wide rainfall head asks more of them than they will give. The designer takes a flow reading while they are in the house and says plainly what your supply will carry. Where it will not carry the shower you had in mind, a pump or a smaller head sorts it, and that sits on the quote rather than appearing during fitting week.
In most cases, yes, and the survey is where that is decided. Properties of any age around Cupar and the villages often have a floor that has settled over a century, sometimes on joists and sometimes straight onto the ground. A level tray needs a flat bed beneath it, so the floor is packed, levelled and made sound before anything goes on top. Where the fall is too great for a level tray, a low-profile one with a very shallow step gives you nearly the same room.
Often, and it comes up a lot in the larger houses on the south side of the burgh. Three things decide it: how far the waste has to travel to reach the soil stack, whether the floor will carry the weight, and the head height if the room is tucked under the eaves. All three get checked at the visit. Where gravity will not shift the waste far enough, a macerating unit does the job, and the designer will tell you if yours needs one.
