Fitted Bathrooms
in Girvan,
finished in 3 to 6 days.

We do, throughout KA26. Girvan itself, Dalrymple Street and Montgomerie Street, the seafront, Glendoune, Doune, Girvan Mains and Bridgemill, then Turnberry, Maidens, Kirkoswald, Dailly, Barr, Pinwherry, Colmonell, Lendalfoot, Ballantrae and Barrhill. A designer comes out to the house and the visit costs nothing.

Kilmarnock, at Block 5, Unit 1, Glencairn Industrial Estate, Kilmarnock, KA1 4AZ, with free parking and full bathrooms built and plumbed in to walk round. Open all week, 10am to 5pm. If a trip up the coast does not appeal, say so and a designer will bring the panels, tiles and tap samples to your house in Girvan.

Only your room can answer that. The floor area sets the tiling, the flooring and the labour hours. Keeping the bath, basin and toilet where the pipes already serve them is cheaper than moving them, and the suite, the shower and the wall finish settle most of what is left. A shower room in an upstairs flat near the harbour is a smaller job than a full family bathroom in a Doune house with a bath and a separate walk-in shower. Old pipework found once the boxing comes off is priced after it has been seen. The visit and the quote are free and tie you to nothing, and finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status.

3 to 6 days covers virtually every Girvan bathroom. Replacing like for like is at the quick end. Moving the stack, taking out an old solid floor or wiring a new circuit for an electric shower takes it closer to six. The order of work for each day is explained before the first fitting is unscrewed, and if yours is the only toilet in the house that is built into the plan.

Insulation, surfaces and air movement, in that order. A wall that takes the weather straight off the Firth stays cold, the steam settles on it and the paint and the sealant fail. Panelling on an insulated backing gets rid of the grout lines the damp clings to, a heated rail sized for the room keeps towels dry, and an extractor with a humidity sensor ducted out of the building rather than into the loft finishes the job. It is a common piece of work in the seafront properties here.

Carefully and in one go. The older properties around Dalrymple Street and Montgomerie Street share a close and a stair, so the stair gets sheeted, the delivery is timed into a single drop, and the rubble is carried out to the van the same day rather than left at the back court. Parking near the seafront is agreed beforehand so nothing blocks a neighbour in.

Not at all, and farm cottages and older houses through Carrick are ordinary work for us. They often have a cylinder in a cupboard a long way from the bathroom, a long hot water run and drainage that has been altered more than once, so the survey takes a little longer and the plan is the better for it. Everything needed comes on one delivery.

It will if it is matched to your supply. Plenty of Girvan houses still heat water in a cylinder fed from a loft tank, which leaves an upstairs shower weak, and a pump or a different cylinder normally deals with it. Newer homes around the edges of the town tend to be mains fed and will drive a big rainfall head unaided. The flow is tested during the design visit and the shower chosen from that.
