A narrow bathroom in a Linktown or Gallatown house needs less material and fewer days than a large room in Bennochy or out at Kinghorn with a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower. Whether the suite stays on its existing pipe runs or moves to a new wall is the next big lever, and after that it is the suite, the shower and whether the walls are tiled or panelled. The newer estates at Chapel and along Dunnikier Way tend to run at mains pressure instead. Flow is measured while the designer is with you, then a shower, a pump or a different cylinder is put forward to suit the system you actually have.
