From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. The job began on time, and every tradesman involved was knowledgeable, hardworking, and friendly. The old bathroom suite and tiles were removed exactly as agreed, and the new installation was completed to a high standard, right on schedule. The things people in Paisley want to know before booking, from tenement flats and shared closes to cost, finance and finding us at Dobbies Braehead.
A designer answers your questions, in person at Braehead or over the phone. The showroom is staffed seven days, 10am to 5pm.

As much as the room and your choices come to, which we work out with you at home. Size first, then whether the bath, basin and toilet keep their positions or move to fresh pipework, then the suite, shower and the finish on the walls. A bathroom in a Glenburn or Foxbar flat is a shorter job than a large villa bathroom in Castlehead or Thornly Park with a feature shower. Older Paisley properties can need pipe or floor repairs once the old room is out, and we say so up front. The quote is free and without obligation, and finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status.
Once work starts, most Paisley bathrooms are finished in 3 to 6 days. We explain the order of work, day by day, before the first tile comes off, then stick with it. Flats with a single bathroom are common in Paisley, so let the designer know and the job is sequenced with that in mind.
Paisley has a lot of sandstone tenements, around Glasgow Road, Neilston Road and the town centre, and they need a bit of planning. We cover the close and the stair with dust sheets, agree working hours that suit the neighbours and carry waste out as we go. The floor is checked before a shower tray goes in, because there is usually someone living below.
Yes, and it can be done without losing the character of the house. The Victorian and Edwardian villas of Castlehead and Thornly Park have high ceilings, original plasterwork and generous rooms. Cornices and woodwork are protected before the strip-out, and the designer helps you choose between a traditional suite that matches the house and a modern room that contrasts with it.
We test it at the design visit, before anything is chosen. Upper tenement flats and older Paisley houses with a storage tank can have low pressure, which a pump or a different type of shower valve will often cure. Homes with a combi boiler normally have the pressure a large shower head needs. You are only offered showers that will work properly in your home.
Every part of PA1, PA2 and PA3: Ralston, Oldhall, Hunterhill, Lochfield, Dykebar, Thornly Park, Potterhill, Glenburn, Foxbar, Brediland, Meikleriggs, Castlehead, Charleston, Seedhill, Gallowhill, Shortroods, Ferguslie Park and the town centre. We also fit in Renfrew, Elderslie, Johnstone, Linwood and Inchinnan. Design visits at home are free.
Rarely, as long as we know in advance. On-street spaces around Paisley town centre and beside the tenements can be tight or restricted, so the designer asks about it on the first visit. We then agree where the van stops to unload and take the old suite away with us.
