Fraserburgh in AB43 and Ellon in AB41 are covered as well. No call-out fee, nothing charged for the road, and the quote that follows ties you to nothing.
We would rather see the room than quote blind. A small bathroom in a granite cottage near the harbour asks for less than a roomy one in a detached house at Balmoor or Invernettie with a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower. Between those, the price is set by whether the suite moves, what the walls get, and which sanitaryware and shower you settle on. Granite and older stone properties can need pipework or floor repairs when the old suite comes out, and that is talked through while we are with you. Nothing is charged for the visit or the quote and nothing is signed, and finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status.
Count on 3 to 6 days. Before a spanner is lifted the installers set out which day covers what, and if it is the household's only bathroom they sequence the work so the toilet is usable again each night.
They can, just not by cutting into the stone. Granite will not take a chased channel, so in the older parts of town the pipework and wiring go behind a lined stud wall or into slim boxing that disappears once it is finished, and a core drill makes the single clean hole an extractor needs through the outside wall. Lining that wall has a second benefit: the room stops feeling cold every time the wind gets up.
That is normal here, so tell us the rota when you get in touch. The design visit is booked for a day and an hour when whoever makes the decisions is actually at home, weekends included, and the fitting week can be lined up with a trip home rather than against it.
Sorted before the first morning. Around Roanheads and Buchanhaven the lanes are tight and the old cottages open more or less onto the road, so we send a smaller van, carry the last few yards by hand and book one main delivery instead of coming and going all week. Old suites go out bagged and broken down, and the pavement is swept before the team leaves each day.
Very often it can. In the estate houses at Clerkhill, Meethill and the Dales the room is usually a tight rectangle with the window on the outside wall. Taking out the bath and fitting a level tray with a fixed screen frees up real floor, and wall-hung storage keeps the rest of it clear. The designer measures and talks the options over with you before any figure is put to it.
It is measured rather than assumed. Where the hot water still comes off a cylinder fed by a tank, the shower is always going to be soft, and the fix might be a pump, a different cylinder, or a unit designed to work on a low-pressure feed. Newer houses on the mains usually need none of that. You are told which applies to your house at the visit.
