Cleland, Bonkle, Greenrigg and Fauldhouse are on the same round. The design visit at your house is free, with nothing charged for coming out.
Dobbies Garden Centre at Braehead, 75 Kings Inch Drive, Renfrew, G51 4FB, where our Glasgow showroom sits inside the store with free parking at the door. The doors are open from 10am to 5pm, any day of the week. Our Kilmarnock showroom is the other option. If neither trip appeals, a designer will bring the samples to your house in Shotts instead.
One worked out from your room rather than an average. Size drives the tiling, the flooring and the hours. Keeping the suite roughly where it sits costs less than shifting the soil pipe. The sanitaryware, the shower and the wall finish then decide the rest. A small back bathroom in a Stane terrace is a lighter job than a wide room in a Salsburgh detached house with a bath on one side and a walk-in shower on the other. Anything the old floor has been hiding is priced once we have seen it. A designer measures up, plans the room with you and leaves a free quote with no obligation, and finance starts from £22 a week, subject to status.
3 to 6 days for almost every bathroom in Shotts. A straight replacement finishes at the short end. Moving plumbing, taking up an old solid floor or running a new circuit for an electric shower takes it nearer six. You know what happens on each day before the old suite comes out, and if there is only one toilet in the house say so at the visit so it can be worked round.

The mining terraces around Dykehead, Stane and Benhar tend to have solid masonry walls, a bathroom that was added long after the house went up and pipework that has been patched by several different hands. It is all surveyed first, so battening, levelling and any fresh pipe runs are in the price rather than sprung on you later. Fixings for a wall-hung unit go into something that will hold.
Usually, and it is one of the best reasons to do the room properly. Shotts sits high and exposed, so bathrooms on an outside gable lose heat fast and the moisture then lands on the coldest surface. Insulated backing behind wall panels, panels instead of grout lines, a decent heated rail and an extractor sized for the room and ducted outside rather than into the loft make a real difference to how the room feels.
It will if it is matched to the house. Plenty of homes in ML7 still run hot water from a cylinder fed by a loft tank, which gives a weak flow upstairs. A pump or a different cylinder normally puts that right. Newer houses around Shotts are usually mains fed and take a big shower head without help.
