Ultimate Home Solutions designs, supplies and fits new bathrooms across South Queensferry, beginning with a free design visit at home and ending with all workmanship guaranteed. We fit in the stepped old town houses along the High Street, the 1970s family homes at Echline and Springfield, the flats around Ferrymuir and the newer streets off Builyeon Road.
A stepped house on the High Street and a 1970s family home at Echline want quite different rooms, and each of them is worked up from one of the four looks below.

Low trays, frameless glass and large pale boards, which make the most of the narrow rooms in the old town houses.

Kirsty came to see us and was truly wonderful with her ideas for our ensuite which is a small space. Brian fitted our new bathroom suite and I have never met such a lovely man. So helpful and obliging. He completed the job to an outstanding standard and we are absolutely delighted. Everyone within this company have been faultless. Just fabulous. Thank you so much.

How far out we travel, what a room adds up to, listed buildings on the High Street, loading and access, 1970s estate bathrooms, builder-standard suites, pressure and monthly payments.
You get a bathroom designer on the line rather than a switchboard. Most calls come back inside the hour, Saturday and Sunday included.
Call 0800 029 3875We cover it and the visit is free. A designer will come to any EH30 address, taking in the High Street, the Loan, Hopetoun Road, Rosebery, Echline, Springfield, Ferrymuir, Port Edgar, Dalmeny and Newton, and we carry on to Kirkliston in EH29, Winchburgh, Ratho and Newbridge. Nothing is charged for coming out or for the miles, and the quote afterwards leaves the decision entirely with you.
It depends on your room, which is why the price follows a measure-up rather than a phone call. Floor area counts first, then whether the bath and toilet stay on the pipe runs they are on or move somewhere else, then the suite, the screen and the wall finish you choose. A narrow bathroom in a High Street house is a smaller job than a wide upstairs room in an Echline detached taking a freestanding bath and a separate shower. Older stone properties can turn up floor or pipe work of their own once the room is open. The visit and the quote are free and tie you to nothing, and finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status.
Hardly ever, because the work is inside. Much of the High Street is listed and the old town sits in a conservation area, but swapping a bathroom for a new one does not normally need consent. It becomes a question only where a new extractor or waste has to break out through an elevation the street can see. City of Edinburgh Council will confirm that in a phone call, we supply the product details for any application, and outside fittings go where nobody is looking.
It is worked out before day one. The old town is built on two levels, with houses stacked above one another and wynds and stairs between them, so we break the old suite down and carry it rather than drag it, sheet the route from the door and brush through at the end of each day. Loading space is limited, so a single delivery is booked and unloaded quickly instead of a van sitting there all week.
Three to six days on most Queensferry jobs. A straight replacement at Springfield or Rosebery is at the shorter end. Lifting an old tiled floor, moving the waste or wiring a new shower circuit takes it towards the longer one. The running order is written out with you first, and where there is a second toilet in the house we keep it in use.
A surprising amount. The bathrooms in the Echline and Springfield houses were built small, with a bath jammed against one wall, a boxed-in cistern and no storage at all. Losing the bath for a good-sized enclosure, hanging the basin and toilet off the wall and running the boards full height gives back floor and makes the room look twice the size, usually without moving the drainage.
A good many owners on the newer streets say yes. Houses handed over in the last few years generally come with a plain suite, a narrow cubicle and very little to put anything in, but the pipework behind it is modern and does not need touching. That makes the upgrade good value: a wider shower, a vanity with drawers, better lighting and a fan that genuinely clears the steam.
For the great majority of them, yes. The older Queensferry properties often still heat water in a cylinder fed by a tank in the loft, and that soft head is exactly what you are feeling. Flow and pressure are measured during the visit, and the remedy follows the reading: a pump, a change of cylinder, or a shower unit built to run well on a gentle supply. You will know which before anything is ordered.
It can be, and enquiring does not. We offer Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later, flexible credit up to 24 months, and longer-term flexible credit up to 10 years. The initial eligibility check is a soft search with no impact on your credit score, and gives an instant decision. Ultimate Home Solutions is authorised by the FCA as a credit broker (not a lender). Finance starts from £22 a week, subject to status, and various deposit options are available.
All workmanship is guaranteed. On a Queensferry bathroom that is the fitting and sealing of the bath, basin, toilet and shower, every plumbing joint, the electrical work and the tiling or the wall boards. Ring the freephone number and aftercare comes back out to EH30 on the same terms as anywhere else we work.
Designers and trusted installers are on this side of the city constantly. The home appointment is free, travel never appears on the bill, and every address counts, from the Loan and Hopetoun Road out to Dalmeny, Newton and Kirkliston.
Street not listed? The whole of EH30 is covered, along with EH29 and the EH28 villages next to it. Send us the postcode and a free Queensferry design visit is booked in, with nothing charged for the journey.
