Most traditional fitted bathrooms land between £7,000 and £20,000, fully installed. The range depends on the bath type (acrylic freestanding vs cast-iron roll-top), the sanitaryware brand, and whether you want hand-painted panelling or full-height tiling. Can you source period-style sanitaryware?
Yes. We work with Burlington, Heritage, Bayswater, Imperial and other specialist manufacturers. Our designer will bring catalogues and samples to your home, and we can match specific eras (Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco) to suit your property's character.
Do cast-iron baths work on upper floors?
In most cases, yes. A standard cast-iron roll-top bath weighs around 80 to 120kg empty. We check your floor structure during the survey and, if needed, recommend localised reinforcement. Many Glasgow tenements and Edinburgh townhouses already have floors strong enough to handle the weight.
How long does a traditional bathroom installation take?
