[ Service intro, Bi-fold doors fully open to garden ]
Bi-folds transform kitchens, dining rooms, and extensions. When open, the panes fold neatly to one side, creating a full-width opening that connects your home to the garden. When closed, thermally broken frames and argon-filled units keep the heat in.
Available in aluminium (slimmest sightlines, any RAL colour) or uPVC (best value). 2-pane to 6-pane configurations, opening left or right, with traffic doors for everyday access without folding the full set.
A bi-fold door folds right back so your kitchen and your garden become one room. Closed, it seals up tight enough for a Scottish winter. Here is what makes ours work.

Flush or weatheredBi-folds usually mean a wider opening. We handle the lintel, the propping and the building warrant, not a separate builder you have to chase.
The trusted fitters who turn up have fitted hundreds of these. Bi-folds are unforgiving of a bad install, so we only send experienced hands.

Call 0800 029 3875Most bi-fold door installations land between £2,500 and £6,500, depending on the number of panes, frame material (aluminium or uPVC), and glazing specification. A 3-pane uPVC set sits at the lower end; a 6-pane aluminium panoramic system at the upper. Every quote is clear, free, and yours to keep with no obligation.
Aluminium gives you the slimmest sightlines, any RAL colour, and the best strength-to-weight ratio for large spans. uPVC is more affordable, virtually maintenance-free, and still performs well thermally. For openings over 3 metres, aluminium is usually the better choice. We can advise during your free home survey.
A standard 6-pane aluminium bi-fold can span up to 6 metres (roughly 20 feet). Wider openings are possible with bespoke configurations. The maximum width depends on the frame material, number of panes, and whether the structural opening can support the span.
Yes. If you are creating a new opening or widening an existing one, a structural lintel (typically steel) is required. Our surveyor will assess the wall and recommend the correct specification. We can coordinate with a structural engineer if needed, and our installation team handles the lintel fitting.
Most bi-fold installations take 1 to 2 days. If structural work (new lintel) is needed, allow an extra day. Your home is always left secure and weather-tight at the end of each working day.
