Slim Frames, Big View
The aluminium frame is narrower than your finger. Closed, you see the garden, not the frame.

Ultimate Home Solutions supplies and fits new bi-fold doors across Paisley, most often on the rear of the semis and bungalows at Ralston, Barshaw, Hawkhead and Thornly Park, on kitchen extensions in Corsebar and Lochfield, and on the family houses out at Glenburn, Brediland and Foxbar. The usual starting point is a tired sliding patio door or a conservatory that is freezing in January and unusable in July. A bi-fold does the opposite of both: folded back it leaves nearly the whole width open, and shut it seals with brush and rubber gaskets on every panel.
Rain comes off the west in Renfrewshire and it rarely arrives straight down, which is why the track matters as much as the glass. These doors drain rather than pond, every leaf seals on brush and rubber, and the weather rating is Class 4. The aluminium frame carries a thermal break through the middle of it and the units are argon filled, so a glass back wall is not a cold back wall.

20mm framesA plastic barrier inside every frame stops cold coming through the metal, with argon-filled double or triple glazing.
U-value from 1.2Fold them left, right or split. One panel works as a normal door, so you can nip out without folding the whole run back.

Flush or weatheredWindows done lovely job. Fitters fantastic. No complaints from start to finish. Would recommended to anyone.
I loved the experience. The finished product was far beyond my expectations and the workload was quickly carried out and completed. The workers when they arrived were polite and maintained high quality standards. Further, they ensured the mess they made was cleaned up at the end of each day. Overall, I would highly recommend this service to others as the business is very professional.
Great experience 5* from beginning to end. I had new windows fitted & a new front door really happy with the whole process & fitted within 4 weeks from ordering. Would definitely use again.

One team does the lintel, the propping and the doors, so nobody is standing about waiting for a builder, and the surveyor who measures the opening is the one who prices it. Ralston through to Foxbar, the visit is the same.

The online designer is for our Palladio range, the premium end of what we fit. It does not cover the other door ranges on this page. Choose a style, try it in every colour, compare the glass patterns and set the handle, the letterplate and the knocker.
Opens the Palladio door designer in a new tab. Free to use, nothing to download, and no obligation.
Someone comes out free of charge, measures the opening and the floor level, and talks through panel counts, which way the doors should stack and where the traffic door sits.
A free quote follows, setting out the panel layout, the frame colour inside and out, the glass and the threshold. There is no obligation and nobody will chase you.
Bi-fold installations usually take 1 to 2 days. The old opening is prepared, the track is levelled, the panels are hung and adjusted, and everything is sealed and tested before we leave.
We fold and unfold the doors with you, show you the locks and the maintenance, then leave the certificate and care notes. All workmanship is guaranteed.

What people here ask first: cost, replacing patio doors or a conservatory, lintels, panel counts, winter warmth and the timescale.
Ring and you speak to somebody who has stood in front of these doors, not a script reader. Seven days a week, usually a call back inside the hour.
Call 0800 029 3875Most installations sit between £2,500 and £6,500. Panel count, frame material and the glazing specification move it, with a three panel uPVC set at the lower end and a six panel aluminium run at the upper. Any structural work is costed on its own once the surveyor has seen the wall. Various deposit options are available.
Usually, and with no structural work, because the existing lintel already spans that opening. A standard patio width normally takes a two or three panel set. If you want more glass than the current opening gives you, the wall can be taken wider and we handle that side of it.
Many people here swap one for the other. A conservatory adds a room that is too hot in July and too cold in December. Taking the back wall out and putting bi-folds in instead gives the existing room the light and the garden access without the temperature problem, since the frames are thermally broken and the glass is argon filled.
Only where the opening is new or being widened, and then a steel lintel is the usual answer. The surveyor assesses the wall, a structural engineer is brought in if the span warrants it, and the lintel is fitted as part of our work. Add a day to the schedule when structural work is involved.
A six panel aluminium bi-fold will span up to 6 metres, about 20 feet, and wider is possible with a bespoke build. The material, the number of panels and what the wall above can carry all come into it.
Left, right or split down the middle, whichever leaves the patio and the room working properly. One panel is set up as a traffic door so you can get out to the garden or the bins without folding the whole run back. That decision is made at the survey with you standing in the room.
Aluminium for the slimmest frames, any RAL colour and the longest spans. uPVC for value on a smaller opening, with nothing needing done to it. Over about 3 metres we would point you at aluminium.
Each panel shoots a bolt into the frame at the top and the bottom, with multi-point locking on the traffic door and toughened glass throughout. Properly specified, they are harder to get through than a typical back door.
Bi-fold installations take 1 to 2 days, plus a day if a new lintel is going in. The house is left secure and weathertight at the end of each day on site.
