How secure are composite doors?
Every composite door we fit meets PAS-24, the British security standard tested against forced entry. The solid insulated core is far harder to break through than a hollow uPVC panel. We fit 3-star Kitemarked cylinder locks and multi-point hook-and-bolt mechanisms as standard, along with laminated security glazing where glass is specified.
How many colours are available?
Over 200 colours are available, including popular choices like anthracite grey, chartwell green, duck egg blue, cream, and black. You can also choose different colours for the inside and outside of the door. Dozens of glass designs and hardware finishes (chrome, gold, black, antique) let you customise every detail.
Composite vs uPVC: what's the difference?
A composite door has a solid insulated core with a GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) skin. It is heavier, more secure, more thermally efficient, and available in a far wider range of colours and styles. A uPVC door is hollow-chambered, lighter, and more affordable. Both meet PAS-24 when properly specified, but composite is the premium choice for front doors.
How long does installation take?
Most composite front door installations are completed in a single working day. Our team removes the old door, installs the new frame and slab, fits all hardware and glazing, seals the unit, and leaves your home secure and clean before they leave.
