Will it make the hall warmer?
Yes, and most people notice it in the first week. The insulated core is six times more insulating than timber, U-values start at 1.0, and the frame is sealed as it goes in, so the cold that used to come round the edges has nowhere left to get in.
Where do the fitters park, and what happens to the old door?
One van is all it takes, and Bellshill streets generally have room for it. On a shared path or a tight terrace we unload first and then shift the van out of the way. The old door and frame leave with the installers at the end of the day, so nothing is left lying in the garden.
How long is the fitting, and when will it happen?
