Solid Core, Not Hollow
A 44mm solid laminated timber core, not a hollow shell filled with foam. It shuts with a thud, not a rattle.
44mm solid core

Ultimate Home Solutions supplies and fits new composite doors across Paisley, from the thread-mill terraces at Seedhill and Charleston to the villas on the Oakshaw rise, the semis around Hawkhead and Dykebar and the post-war streets of Foxbar, Glenburn and Brediland. Every door is made for the opening it is going into, with a solid core behind a moulded skin that will not swell, split or ever need a coat of paint. A surveyor comes out free of charge, vetted installers hang it in a day, and all workmanship is guaranteed. If you would rather see one in the flesh first, the displays are at Braehead, a short hop over the Renfrew boundary.
Paisley builds its houses out of blonde sandstone, render and brick, and all three take the rain the same way, straight at the front door. Timber answers by swelling and early plastic by going brittle. Composite was made to sit still through it, and this is what it is put together from.

Same-day installI loved the experience. The finished product was far beyond my expectations and the workload was quickly carried out and completed. The workers when they arrived were polite and maintained high quality standards. Further, they ensured the mess they made was cleaned up at the end of each day. Overall, I would highly recommend this service to others as the business is very professional.
Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. The qualities of the product were explained and demonstrated and we went ahead. We were delighted with the end product and the lads who done the job were friendly professional and approachable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone and will do so if asked.

The online designer is for our Palladio range, the premium end of what we fit. It does not cover the other door ranges on this page. Choose a style, try it in every colour, compare the glass patterns and set the handle, the letterplate and the knocker.
Opens the Palladio door designer in a new tab. Free to use, nothing to download, and no obligation.
A surveyor comes out free of charge, measures the opening and the sill, and brings colour, glass and hardware samples so you can choose at your own front door.
A free, no-obligation quote follows, showing the door style, colour, glass and locks you chose. Take as long as you like over it.
Most composite doors go in within a single working day. The old door and frame are removed, the new set is fitted, sealed and locked, and the waste leaves with the installers.
You are shown the locks, then given the keys, the installation certificate and care notes, and we check in with you a few weeks later. All workmanship is guaranteed.

Call 0800 029 3875Braehead, which is barely outside Paisley. The Glasgow showroom is inside Dobbies Garden Centre on Kings Inch Drive in Renfrew, G51 4FB, open 10am to 5pm every day, and you can turn up without an appointment. Kilmarnock is our other showroom, at Glencairn Industrial Estate, KA1 4AZ. The surveyor also carries colour, glass and handle samples if you would rather stay put.
Most come in between £950 and £2,200 fitted, including removal of the old door, taking it away and certification. The colour, the glass, the handle finish and any side panels decide where inside that your own door lands. The survey costs nothing and the quote carries no obligation. Various deposit options are available.
Yes. The mill terraces and tenement closes on that side of town have tall openings that are seldom a standard size, and every door and frame is made to what the surveyor measures. For an older frontage, look at the Heritage composite designs, which are drawn to suit period Scottish buildings.
We can. A shared close door needs the other owners or the factor to agree the spec and the day, and we will give them whatever details they ask for. Your own flat door is a simple job on its own. Fire-rating and closer requirements are looked at during the survey.
Not necessarily, though it is worth asking first. Paisley's town centre has a conservation area and there are more of them around Oakshaw and Castlehead, so Renfrewshire Council can have a view on a door that faces the street. Rear and side doors seldom come into it. The surveyor will tell you what looks likely, and the Heritage composite range exists for exactly these frontages.
A fair bit. The core is solid rather than hollow-chambered, which is the main difference, and every door is tested to PAS 24, the British standard for resisting forced entry. The locking is multi-point with hooks and bolts, the cylinder is 3-star Kitemarked and anti-snap, and glazing is laminated.
It should. The core is insulated and six times more insulating than timber, U-values begin at 1.0, and the frame is sealed all round as it goes in. Most of the cold in an old hallway was arriving round the door rather than through it.
Somewhere past 200 colour and glass combinations. Cream, black, anthracite grey, chartwell green and duck egg blue get picked most often, woodgrain finishes are there if you want the timber look, and the inside can be a different colour from the street side. Hardware comes in chrome, gold, black or antique.
Most doors are a one-day job. The installers lift out the old door and frame, set the new frame, hang the door, fit the glass and hardware, seal it and run you through the locks before they leave. The old door goes away in the van.
