Moulded From Real Timber
The grain you can feel is taken from an original timber door, not printed onto a flat skin. It holds its definition for the life of the door.
Authentic grain

Ultimate Home Solutions supplies and fits new Palladio doors across Edinburgh, from Leith and Portobello out to Currie and Balerno, with a free survey at your home and all workmanship guaranteed. A Palladio is a 65mm thick door built as one piece, its grain and panels taken from a mould of real timber, so it holds its own beside the sandstone of the Grange or Morningside and looks just as settled on a 1930s bungalow in Blackhall. The surveyor brings the colours and glass to you, and vetted installers hang the finished door in a day.
Edinburgh frontages are judged from the pavement, and a flat, printed door shows itself up against dressed stone. Palladio panels have real depth because the mould was taken from a timber door, the 65mm shell is a single piece with nothing to come apart, and two weather seals plus triple glazing keep the haar and an east wind on the right side of the hall.

Authentic grainOne solid piece rather than a frame with panels fitted into it. Nothing to separate, nothing to work loose.
65mm solid doorTested to the standard insurers and building control ask for, with multi-point locking and a 3-star cylinder as standard.
PAS-24 as standardA solid core insulates far better than a hollow one. You feel it in the hall on a cold Scottish morning.
U-value from 1.0Two seals around the door, one inside and one out, where most doors have one. Built for driving rain off the west coast rather than a still day in a showroom.
Two weather sealsThrough-coloured, UV-stable finish in heritage and contemporary shades. No repainting, no fading to a chalky grey.

What people in the capital ask before they order a Palladio, from price and travel to conservation streets, the haar and how long the door takes to arrive.
Phone and you speak to someone who knows Palladio doors, not a call handler reading a screen. Lines are open all week and most messages get a reply within the hour.
Call 0800 029 3875We do, and the journey is on us. A surveyor calls at your home anywhere in the city, from Trinity and Leith down to Fairmilehead and out to Currie, measures the opening and leaves you with a clear, no-obligation quote. No call-out fee is added for an EH address, and nobody will press you for a decision on the day.
Made to measure means priced to measure. Your door design, the colour, the glass and any side panels or top light set the figure, and a wide opening glazed on both sides will ask more than a plain single doorway. Nothing is quoted before a surveyor has seen the opening, and both the visit and the quote are free. Payments can start from £22 a week, subject to status. Various deposit options are available.
Check before you order. Much of central Edinburgh lies inside a conservation area, the Old and New Towns are a World Heritage Site, and a great many buildings are listed. On those streets the City of Edinburgh Council can ask for a timber door in the original pattern. We will say so plainly at the survey if we think consent could be a problem. Away from the protected streets, on the bungalows of Corstorphine and Blackhall or the newer homes towards the bypass, there is normally nothing in the way.
It is built as one piece. The door is a 65mm thick monocoque, a single fibreglass-reinforced shell filled with a dense insulating core, so there is no thin skin glued on that could lift and no joint that could open. The colour runs through the outer sheet under a Renolit foil, and the frame is finished in the same colour as the door.
A Palladio has two weather seals, one on the inside and one on the outside, where most doors make do with one. Triple glazing is standard, in the side panels as well as the door, and the insulated core keeps the cold out of the hallway. It is a sound choice for a house that faces the Forth.
Yes. Palladio is tested to PAS 24, the standard that insurers and building control ask for. Every door has a Milenco 10-point locking system, a 3-star cylinder and four adjustable hinges, all carried by the thick walls of the shell. The surveyor will show you how the lock throws on the sample.
The Original Collection runs to 25 designs. Panelled styles such as the Georgian, Kensington and Cambridge sit well on a Victorian villa in the Grange or Trinity, and side panels and top lights are made with matching glass. For a newer home, the Avant Garde collection has flat faces, slim glazing and stronger colours on the same 65mm construction.
Each Palladio is made to order in Ireland, and 4 to 6 weeks from order to delivery is typical. Fitting takes one working day. The installers remove the old door and frame, fit and seal the new set, test every locking point and leave the house secure before they go.
