Palladio Doors
in Paisley,
for a town of good frontages.

Nothing is priced until the opening has been measured, because every Palladio is made for one doorway. The design you pick, the colour, the glass and whether side panels or a top light are needed all count, and the wide original openings on the older Castlehead and Corsebar properties usually ask for more door. Book a free survey and the quote afterwards is yours with no obligation. Finance is available from £22 a week, subject to status, with various deposit options.

Our Glasgow showroom, which is actually at Braehead in Renfrew: Dobbies Garden Centre, 75 Kings Inch Drive, G51 4FB, open 10am to 5pm seven days with no appointment needed. That is a short run down the road from the town. Palladio doors are on display at our Kilmarnock showroom as well.

Ask first. Parts of central Paisley, Oakshaw and Castlehead sit inside conservation areas and a number of buildings around them are listed, so Renfrewshire Council may have a view on what appears on the frontage. Where consent is given, the panelled designs from the Original Collection are the ones most likely to satisfy them. Out at Ralston, Barshaw, Hawkhead and the newer estates there is normally nothing to apply for.

Twenty-five in the Original Collection, among them the Georgian, Cambridge, Kensington and Kildare, and eight more in the Avant Garde collection for a modern frontage. Colours run from anthracite grey, black and cream to duck egg blue and heritage shades that only Palladio makes. Glass patterns, handles, knockers and letterboxes are chosen separately.

Yes, and that is one of the things Palladio does better than most. Side panels and top lights are made as part of the same set, in the same colour and with glass that matches the door, so a generous Victorian or interwar opening keeps its proportions rather than being boarded down to a standard width.

It is tested to PAS 24, which is the standard building control and insurers refer to. Every door is fitted with a Milenco 10-point locking system and a 3-star cylinder, and it hangs on four adjustable hinges hidden inside the edge of the door where nobody can get at them.

A standard composite door is a core with a 2mm skin bonded to it, and that skin is the weak point. Palladio is a monocoque, meaning one 65mm reinforced shell around a dense insulating core, with nothing glued on. The frame is finished in the door colour instead of white, there are two seals rather than one, and triple glazing is included. We fit standard composite doors too, so you can compare both prices.

We do. The same free survey applies in Elderslie, Johnstone, Linwood, Renfrew and Barrhead as it does anywhere in PA1, PA2 or PA3, and nothing is charged for the call-out.

Palladio doors are made to order in Ireland and 4 to 6 weeks from order to delivery is normal. Fitting takes one working day: out with the old door and frame, in with the new, sealed, locking tested and the keys in your hand before the installers go.
