uPVC Doors
in Paisley,
from the showroom next door.

Very. Our Glasgow showroom sits inside Dobbies Garden Centre at Braehead, 75 Kings Inch Drive, Renfrew, G51 4FB, the next town along from Paisley. It is open 10am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday, and you do not need an appointment. Go through the garden centre, out of the rear exit and up to the top right.

Four things, mainly: the size of the opening, any side panels or a light above the door, the glass design, and the handles and letterplate. uPVC costs less than a composite door to begin with. A surveyor measures up free of charge and you get a clear quote with no obligation. Various deposit options are available.

Yes. Flat doors and shared close doors in Paisley's sandstone tenements are well within what we do. A shared door needs the agreement of the other owners or the factor, and we can talk them through the spec and the fitting day. Fire-rated requirements are picked up at the survey.

Parts of Paisley, such as Castlehead, Thornly Park and the streets around Oakshaw, sit in conservation areas, and Renfrewshire Council may have a say on a street-facing door there. Back and side doors are seldom an issue. We will be straight with you at the survey, and if a timber-look composite or Palladio door is the better answer for the front, we supply those as well.

One working day for most uPVC doors. The fitters take out the old door and frame, set the new frame, hang the door, fit the glass and hardware, then seal it all round. Your home is locked and tidy by the time they go.

It will. uPVC never rots, warps or rusts, and the colour and woodgrain foils are UV-stable, so they do not yellow or peel. A wipe with warm soapy water now and again is the only upkeep.

A multi-point locking system is standard on every uPVC door we fit. Turn the key and hooks and bolts engage at several points down the frame, backed by a high-security cylinder. Where the door has glass, it is toughened or laminated.

Solid panel and glazed designs for front, back, side and utility doors. Colours run from classic white, cream and black to anthracite grey and woodgrain foils like golden oak and rosewood, and you can have one colour outside and another inside. Glass can be clear, obscure, leaded, bevelled or stained.
