The range is wide here because the houses are. A compact galley refit begins near £6,000, a typical family kitchen sits between £8,000 and £15,000, and an open-plan island kitchen in a larger Bearsden or Milngavie house starts at £20,000 and climbs with the worktop and appliance choices. 10 to 14 working days on site. Before that comes about two weeks of design work and then four to six weeks of manufacture once the drawings are approved, so from the first visit to the finished room is usually eight to ten weeks.
Yes, and the earlier the better. Bungalows through Kessington, Thorn and Mosshead are regularly opened up at the rear, and a layout drawn while the extension is still on paper means sockets, waste runs and the island position are settled before the builders start. Your designer works from the architect's drawings and updates the 3D model as the build changes.

Older Bearsden and Milngavie villas often have lath and plaster over solid masonry, so the installers locate the studs or fix back to the wall behind with the right anchors rather than trusting the surface. Services are run in neat boxing where chasing an old wall would do more harm than good, and any cornice or picture rail worth keeping is protected before work starts.
Easily. A full-height larder with pull-out shelving gives you the old walk-in pantry in a fraction of the floor space, and where there is a small store or cloak cupboard off the kitchen it can be brought into the run instead. Both versions can be modelled at the visit so you can see what each costs you in worktop.
The 3D plan answers that honestly. An island needs walkways round it that still work when the oven door and the dishwasher are open, so the designer draws it to your measurements and shows you the clearances. Where the room will not take one, a peninsula or a slim breakfast bar usually gives you the same seat and the same worktop.
Qualified trades, booked and coordinated by us. Gas Safe registered engineers handle gas connections, qualified electricians do the wiring, and both leave certificates. Plumbing, tiling and making good are part of the same job, finishing with a walkthrough of the room together.
