Budget from £6,000 for a small galley, £8,000 to £15,000 for the average family kitchen, and £20,000 upwards for a large open-plan room with an island. Each of those covers the strip-out, the plumbing, the electrics and the worktops. Worktop material and appliances are what shift the number most. The fitting takes 10 to 14 working days. Design and planning beforehand needs roughly two weeks, and the kitchen is then manufactured to order in four to six weeks, so the usual span from first visit to finished room is eight to ten weeks.
Quite a lot, and rooms like that are our bread and butter round Blantyre. Door swings, the back door and the hall door all go on the survey, then the designer works the units round them, often by turning a run into an L, using a shallower cabinet on the tight wall, or moving the fridge to a taller housing. The 3D plan shows you how the room feels to walk through before anything is ordered.
Wherever the plumbing allows. Many Blantyre houses have the machine sitting under the worktop in full view, and it can often move to a back porch, a utility corner or a tall housing with the tumble dryer stacked above it. If the drainage will not reach, the designer tells you at the visit rather than after the order.
It depends on the floor space once the walkways are allowed for, and the plan will tell you honestly. In newer houses at Coatshill and Bardykes there is often room for a small island or a peninsula with seating. In the older semis a breakfast bar on the end of a run usually does the same job without crowding the room.
Yes, and there is no extra labour charge for fitting them. Should you want new ones, we supply Bosch, Neff, Siemens and AEG at trade prices, generally 15 to 25% under the shop price, and the designer brings the brochures out.
It does. Units, worktops and splashback tiles are lifted on day one and removed, along with old flooring if it is being replaced, and disposal is priced into the job so there is no skip sitting outside your house.
