Ultimate Home Solutions designs, supplies and fits new kitchens across Lochgilphead, from the harled and stone terraces on Argyll Street, Lochnell Street and Union Street to the houses at Badden and Manse Brae and the cottages along the canal at Cairnbaan and Ardrishaig. The designer works in the room itself, records every measurement, builds the layout in 3D while you watch and leaves a clear quote that obliges you to nothing. Nobilia make the cabinets in Germany, trusted installers fit them, and all workmanship is guaranteed.
A terraced house on Lochnell Street and a modern place looking down the loch want different rooms, and the drawing for each starts from one of these three.
[ Style · Shaker · sage green / oak ]Painted framed doors in cream, soft grey or deep green, which suit the harled and stone terraces on the town's original grid of streets.

From start to finish very professional, fantastic job looks great.
Excellent quality and fantastic customer service. I was looking to upgrade the windows and light in my home. I cannot stress how frustrated I was with being told I couldn't do what I wanted to do. I said what I hoped for and worked with Ultimate Home Solutions to get exactly that. Great range, very affordable and the cleanest and most organised installers I've met. I would very happily recommend and would use again.

Coming this far west, prices, timescales, damp and ventilation, older harled houses, deliveries on the A83, appliances, finance and the PA31 places we reach.
The call is answered by someone who designs kitchens, so you get a straight answer rather than a message passed on. Lines are open seven days.
Call 0800 029 3875We do, and there is nothing to pay for the visit. Appointments and fitting cover PA31, taking in Lochgilphead itself, Ardrishaig, Cairnbaan, Bridgend, Kilmichael Glassary, Kilmartin and the villages along the loch. Rather than promise a particular week, we agree the date with you when you get in touch, and the quote that follows leaves you free to say no.
A small galley refit starts from £6,000, a mid-range family kitchen sits between £8,000 and £15,000, and a large open-plan kitchen with an island starts from £20,000. Taking the old kitchen out plus the plumbing, electrics and worktops are inside those figures. Room size, worktop material and appliances move it either way, and the quote itself is free.
Design and planning takes about a fortnight, manufacture four to six weeks once you have approved the drawing, and the installation runs 10 to 14 working days. Altogether that is usually eight to ten weeks between the first visit and the last check.
It matters for ventilation more than for the units. An extractor that vents properly to the outside rather than recirculating, plus a decent trickle vent or a window that opens easily, makes a real difference to condensation on a wet coast. The designer checks where a duct can reasonably run at the survey and plans the hood around it.
That is the normal starting point here. Walls that lean or bow are measured at more than one height so the drawing reflects the room rather than an ideal version of it. Units are then scribed in on site and fillers cut to suit, which is why a made-to-measure kitchen sits better in an old house than a flat-pack one.
In most cases yes, and where it is tight we plan for it. The approach, the passing places and the turning space are noted at the survey, and if a lorry cannot get in the kitchen is transferred to a smaller van for the last part of the road. Knowing that in advance is the whole point of the survey.
Often, and in a house where the kitchen faces the weather it can be the best thing you do. Where the wall is load bearing we bring in a structural engineer and handle the building warrant, and the designer draws the room with and without the wall so you can judge what you gain.
We arrange every trade on the job. Gas Safe registered engineers handle gas work and qualified electricians do the wiring, with certificates issued for each. Plumbing, tiling and decoration belong to the same order, and the project closes with a walkthrough.
