There is no call-out fee and nothing added for travel, and the visit is arranged for a date that works for you.
A small galley refit starts from £6,000, a mid-range family kitchen runs £8,000 to £15,000, and a large open-plan kitchen with an island starts at £20,000. Each figure includes removing the old kitchen plus the plumbing, electrics and worktops. A cottage kitchen usually sits at the lower end and a steading kitchen-diner with an island higher up, and the quote costs nothing.
Roughly two weeks for design and planning, four to six weeks of manufacture once you approve the drawing, then 10 to 14 working days on site. That works out at around eight to ten weeks between the first visit and handover for most houses here.
It shapes it rather than limits it. Deep reveals eat into the usable wall, so the survey measures each wall at worktop height and again at wall unit height, and the run is planned around what is genuinely there. Those reveals often make good shelving or a spot for the sink, and the designer will suggest it if it works.
It is worth raising at the survey. Nothing about the units changes, but pressure from a private supply can affect the choice of tap and any filtered or boiling water option, and a septic system is a reason to think carefully about a waste disposal unit. The designer will talk both through rather than assume mains services.
Generally yes, with the approach noted in advance. The designer records the width of the entrance, the passing places, any low branches and where a lorry can turn, and where the road will not take a large vehicle the kitchen is moved on to a smaller van for the final stretch.
Most households do. A kettle, a microwave and a fridge are set up elsewhere before the first day, dust sheets cover the route the fitters use, and the room is swept before they leave each afternoon.
Either suits us. Neff, Bosch, Siemens and AEG are available through us at trade prices, usually 15 to 25% below retail. Anything you already own, including a range cooker, is fitted for the same labour cost and measured at the survey so the cabinets are planned around it.
