“Fulfilled the timescales.”
Fulfilled the timescales. Excellent workmanship. Competitive prices. Excellent customer service.

Ultimate Home Solutions supplies and fits new roofs across Lenzie, the commuter suburb that grew around the station when the railway arrived. That history is written on the rooflines: tall Victorian and Edwardian villas with steep slated pitches, dormer cheeks, lead valleys and chimney stacks that carry four or five flues apiece, sitting a few streets away from the inter-war and post-war semis of Millersneuk and Auchinloch, which are mostly tiled. Old slate on a steep pitch fails slowly and then all at once, so the surveyor goes into the loft first, then over the covering, before anything is suggested. The Glasgow showroom at Braehead is open every day if you would rather speak to someone face to face, though the slate and tile samples travel out to the house.

I loved the experience. The finished product was far beyond my expectations and the workload was quickly carried out and completed. The workers when they arrived were polite and maintained high quality standards. Further, they ensured the mess they made was cleaned up at the end of each day. Overall, I would highly recommend this service to others as the business is very professional.
Very good job done on our home. Exterior wall coating by Properla applied by excellent applicators. Can strongly recommend on every aspect.
Genuine reviews from our customers on Google and Trustpilot, quoted as written.
Evidence rather than opinion: photographs from the loft and from the scaffold, a price you can follow line by line, and roofers we vet who make the house safe before they leave each evening. A villa off the station road or a semi at Millersneuk, the approach does not change.

What G66 households ask before a re-roof: cost, days on site, matching a neighbour's slate, steep Victorian pitches, dormers, chimney stacks, guttering and monthly payments.
Phone and you reach someone who spends their days on roofs rather than reading from a card. Most calls come back inside the hour, any day of the week.
Call 0800 029 3875A full re-roof generally falls between £7,500 and £18,000 fitted, taking in the scaffolding, stripping the old covering, new membrane and battens, the slates or tiles, the ridge and the certification. Concrete tile on a semi runs £7,500 to £14,000, clay pantile £10,000 to £20,000 and natural slate £12,000 to £25,000 and upwards. A large slated villa can go beyond £30,000. A flat roof sits at £3,000 to £8,000.
A new roof takes up to 14 working days, weather permitting, and the scaffold goes up shortly before that and comes down shortly after. The covering is stripped in sections and sealed every evening, so the house is never left open overnight.
It changes the scaffolding and the time on site rather than the method. A steep pitch is actually kind to a slate roof, because water sheds fast, but it means more scaffold, more edge protection and more hours per square metre. All of that is set out in the quote rather than appearing afterwards.
They should be. Dormer cheeks, the lead soakers where a dormer meets the main pitch and the flat top over the dormer itself are the usual weak points on a villa of that age, and they are the first place water gets in. With the scaffold already there it costs far less to deal with them as part of the re-roof than to come back to them later.
It can be. A stack that has lost its pointing will keep letting water down into the house whatever is done to the slates around it. The stack can be repointed and reflashed, or reduced and capped where the flues are no longer used, and the surveyor photographs its condition so you can see the state of it for yourself before deciding.
Yes, and on a terrace or a semi that matters. The surveyor holds slate and tile samples against the neighbouring roofs in daylight, because colour and texture look entirely different under a shop light. Where the original slate is no longer produced, the nearest current equivalent is chosen and you see it beside the existing roof before you agree to anything.
There is no roofing on display at either showroom, and it is fairer to say that than have you make the trip for it. Braehead, inside Dobbies Garden Centre at 75 Kings Inch Drive, Renfrew, G51 4FB, are open for a conversation, Braehead 10am to 5pm daily and Kilmarnock Monday to Saturday with Sunday by appointment. The samples come to your house at the survey, which is where they need to be seen anyway.
It is the obvious time to do it. The scaffold is up, the eaves are exposed and cast-iron gutters or brittle old uPVC can be swapped for new in a fraction of the time it would take as a separate job. Fascias, soffits and bargeboards are usually done in the same visit.
