Reckon on roughly 2 to 4 weeks between agreeing the design and the install date, while the equipment is ordered in. The fitting is a day, or two once cameras are added, and the system is tested and demonstrated before the engineer leaves.
It can, but it needs a bit of thought. Cameras facing shared ground, a lane or a pavement have privacy masking applied so they do not record beyond your own property, and if the area is genuinely common ground it is best agreed with your neighbours first. The engineer will explain what is sensible at the survey.
It should not. The indoor detectors are pet-friendly, which exists to stop animals causing false alarms, and the outdoor sensor is pet immune up to 24kg. Tell the engineer about your pets so sensors are positioned and set to suit them.

Monitoring adds a connection to an alarm receiving centre staffed 24 hours a day, which alerts keyholders or a response service the moment it triggers, and suits a house that is regularly empty.
