Most smart home security setups cost between £400 and £1,500, depending on the scope. A video doorbell and smart lock combo starts from around £400 installed. A full setup with multiple cameras, smart lock, doorbell, and hub integration typically lands between £800 and £1,500. Every quote is free, clear, and yours to keep with no obligation.
Do I need a smart speaker to control everything?
No. All devices can be controlled directly from your phone via their own apps. A smart speaker (Amazon Echo, Google Nest Hub, Apple HomePod) adds voice control and a central display, but it is optional. If you already have one, we will integrate it during installation.
Can I give temporary access to cleaners or deliveries?
Yes. Smart locks like the Yale Conexis and Nuki allow you to create time-limited access codes or digital keys. You can set a code that works only on Tuesdays between 10am and 12pm (for a cleaner, for example) or a one-time code for a delivery. You receive a notification every time the code is used.
What brands do you install?
We install Ring, Google Nest, and Arlo for video doorbells and cameras, and Yale Conexis and Nuki for smart locks. We integrate with Hive, Nest, Apple HomeKit, and Amazon Alexa ecosystems. If you have a preferred brand, let us know during the survey and we will confirm compatibility.
Do smart locks work if the WiFi goes down?
Yes. Smart locks operate via Bluetooth and physical key backup, so they will always lock and unlock even without WiFi. You lose remote app control and notifications while WiFi is down, but the lock itself continues to function normally. When the connection restores, full remote access resumes.
Can I finance the setup?
