Most full domestic systems (alarm + 4 to 8 cameras + NVR + app) land between £1,800 and £4,500, fully installed including cable runs, commissioning and training. Smaller alarm-only systems start at £850; larger 16-camera installs with outbuilding coverage reach £7,000+. Every quote is clear, free, and yours to keep with no obligation.
How long does the installation take?
Most full systems are completed in 1 to 2 working days. Cable runs are planned to be hidden wherever possible, walls made good, app set up and tested before we leave.
Will the CCTV be monitored by a control centre, or is it just app-based?
Both options available. Standard installs are app-monitored (you see live feed and motion alerts on your phone, 24/7). For higher-risk properties or business premises we offer 24/7 manned monitoring with police-response upgrade, priced separately and clearly in the quote.
Can I finance the system? How does the credit check work?
Yes. We offer Buy Now Pay 12 Months Later, flexible credit up to 24 months, and longer-term flexible credit up to 10 years. The initial eligibility check is a soft search with no impact on your credit score, and gives an instant decision. Ultimate Home Solutions is authorised by the FCA as a credit broker (not a lender).
How is the footage stored? What about privacy?
Footage is stored locally on a Network Video Recorder (NVR) at your property (typically 30 days of rolling storage). Optional encrypted cloud backup also available. Camera angles are configured to respect neighbour boundaries (a legal requirement) and we walk you through GDPR best practice on day one.
Do you cover my area in Scotland?
Yes. Our crews are based in Glasgow and Kilmarnock, and we install across the whole country, from Galloway to John o' Groats. Free home surveys anywhere in Scotland; no call-out fee, no postcode exclusions.
Can you add a smart doorbell or access control later?
Yes. All our systems are designed to be expandable. Smart doorbells, additional cameras, gate intercoms and electronic locks can all be added at any point and managed from the same app.
